Field notes
Lira depreciation has made Istanbul one of the cheapest megacities for foreign-paid renters. Beyoğlu, Kadıköy (Asian side), and Cihangir are the nomad triangle. Turkey's remote-worker visa is in early days but improving.
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) are the comfort windows. Summer runs hot and humid thanks to Bosphorus moisture; winter is wet and grey. Snow is rare but sometimes dramatic when it lands.
