Field notes

Real four-season Bulgaria — Dec–Feb runs sub-zero with reliable snow (the whole point), summers are pleasant 20–25°C in the valley but cooler than the surrounding peaks. Spring and autumn are short, sharp, and beautiful. Wildfire season around the Pirin range is rare but real in August.
